A coffee shop-style iced coffee drink you can make at home for a fraction of the price.
If you’re someone who loves fun coffee shop drinks but not necessarily the price tag, this Reese’s Peanut Butter Cold Brew is such a fun treat to make at home. It’s creamy, chocolatey, lightly peanut buttery, and honestly feels like something you’d grab from a specialty coffee shop.
And the best part?
You can customize it exactly how you like it while saving money at the same time.
Today I’m making a cold brew coffee topped with homemade peanut butter cold foam and finished with chocolate syrup for a drink that tastes a little like a Reese’s peanut butter cup in coffee form.
What You’ll Need
For the Peanut Butter Cold Foam
* Milk of choice
* Vanilla syrup
* PB2 powdered peanut butter
For the Coffee
* Coffee ice cubes
* Dark chocolate syrup
You’ll also need:
* Tall glass
* Straw
Why I Love Homemade Coffee Drinks
Making coffee drinks at home:
* saves money
* feels fun and creative
* lets you control ingredients
* and honestly can taste just as good as coffee shop versions
And little touches like:
* coffee ice cubes
* cold foam
* decorative syrup
make the whole experience feel extra special.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Start the peanut butter cold foam.
Add milk to your electric milk frother up to:
* the lower fill line
Then add:
* a splash of vanilla syrup to taste…. try 1 Tablespoon to start.
* 1 tablespoon PB2 powdered peanut butter
PB2 is great because it gives peanut butter flavor with less fat than traditional peanut butter.
And as a bonus:
* it adds a little protein too
Why PB2 Works So Well
Traditional peanut butter doesn’t always blend smoothly into cold foam.
But powdered peanut butter mixes beautifully and creates:
* smooth texture
* rich flavor
* and creamy foam
Perfect for coffee drinks.
2. Select the cold foam setting.
On the Electric Milk Frother:
* select the cold foam setting
The blue light will indicate the cold foam cycle.
Then let the frother work its magic for:
* about 1½ minutes
3. Decorate the glass.
While the foam is mixing, drizzle dark chocolate syrup around the inside of the glass.
Tilt the glass slightly while squeezing the syrup for that pretty coffee-shop look.
You don’t need much — just enough to create a fun chocolate swirl effect.
4. Add coffee ice cubes.
Fill the glass with:
* coffee ice cubes
This is one of my favorite little tricks because regular ice cubes dilute iced coffee as they melt.
Coffee cubes keep:
* every sip flavorful
* rich
* and delicious all the way to the bottom.
5. Pour in the cold brew.
Add cold brew coffee until the glass is about:
* two-thirds full
That leaves enough room for the cold foam on top.
Easy Homemade Cold Brew
Cold brew is surprisingly simple to make at home.
Just combine:
* 1 cup coffee grounds
* 4 to 4½ cups water
Then let it steep for:
* 24 hours
That’s it!
6. Top with the peanut butter cold foam.
Once the cold foam is finished, slowly pour it over the cold brew.
As the foam slowly melts into the coffee, the chocolate syrup design becomes visible through the glass — which honestly makes the whole drink feel extra fancy.
Then add a straw and enjoy.
Why I Love This Drink
* Coffee shop flavor at home
* Budget-friendly
* Easy to customize

This is one of those little homemade treats that makes an ordinary afternoon feel much more fun.
