An easy homemade pizza method with a crispy crust, melty cheese, and endless topping possibilities.
There’s just something special about homemade pizza night. And once you realize how easy it is to make pizza in the Deluxe Air Fryer & Oven, it becomes dangerously tempting to do it all the time.
Today I’m using homemade pizza dough, a pizza stone, and a few leftover ingredients from my refrigerator to create a crispy, bubbly pizza that honestly looks restaurant-worthy.
The best part? You can completely customize it for your family using whatever toppings you already have on hand.
What You’ll Need
* Pizza dough
* Pizza sauce
* Mozzarella cheese
* Italian seasoning
* Favorite pizza toppings
* Cornmeal
Optional toppings I used:
* Sliced meatballs
* Ricotta cheese
You’ll also need:
* Small Oven Square Pizza Stone
Why I Love Homemade Pizza Nights
Pizza nights are one of my favorite ways to:
* use leftovers
* save money
* involve the family in cooking
* customize everyone’s meal
And honestly, homemade pizza tastes so much fresher than delivery.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Preheat the pizza stone.
Place the pizza stone into the Deluxe Air Fryer & Oven before preheating.
I used the:
* Stone Bake feature
* 425°F
The hot stone helps create that crispy crust texture that’s hard to achieve otherwise.
2. Prepare the pizza peel.
Sprinkle cornmeal onto the pizza peel before adding the dough.
This creates a barrier that helps the pizza slide easily onto the hot stone later.
It’s one of those little tricks that makes a huge difference.
3. Build the pizza quickly.
Once the dough is on the peel, work fairly quickly so it doesn’t stick.
I like to add:
* a light layer of mozzarella first
* then sauce
* then more cheese and toppings
That first layer of cheese actually helps create a crispier crust underneath.
Use What You Have!
One thing I love about homemade pizza is how flexible it is.
I used:
* leftover homemade meatballs
* ricotta cheese
* Italian seasoning
The ricotta melts beautifully and adds such a creamy texture to the pizza.
But honestly, pizza night is perfect for cleaning out the refrigerator:
* veggies
* leftover meats
* different cheeses
* herbs
It all works!
4. Test the dough before baking.
Before sliding the pizza onto the stone, gently shake the peel back and forth.
If the dough wiggles freely, it’s ready to slide off cleanly.
That little test can save you from a pizza disaster!
5. Bake until golden and bubbly.
Slide the pizza onto the hot stone and bake.
Although the oven was set for:
* 15 minutes
Mine was actually finished in about:
* 12 minutes
The crust turned beautifully golden and crispy with bubbling melted cheese on top.
Easy Pizza Cutting Tip
Once baked, transfer the pizza onto a cutting surface.
I used Pizza Scissors, which makes cutting super easy and protects nonstick surfaces at the same time.
Of course, a traditional Pizza Cutter works great too.
Why I Love This Method
* Crispy homemade crust
* Faster than delivery
* Great use for leftovers
* Family-friendly
* Customizable toppings
* Budget-friendly
* Fun weekend dinner idea
Homemade pizza nights always feel cozy, fun, and just a little bit special.
