Spaghetti and Meatballs in the Deluxe Multi-Cooker (Pressure Cooker) (Even Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free!)

Everything cooks in one pot for an easy family dinner!

If your family loves spaghetti and meatballs, you’re going to love this shortcut version. Today I’m making everything right in the Deluxe Multi-Cooker—including the meatballs, pasta, and sauce! This is the Pampered Chef version of an Electric Pressure Cooker. It’s one of my favorite small appliances!

What I especially love about this recipe is how adaptable it is. I made mine gluten-free and dairy-free, but you can easily follow the traditional recipe if that’s what works best for your family.

Even better? This recipe makes a generous batch, which means dinner tonight and leftovers for another day.

Let’s make it together!  Here’s the recipe from one of my favorite websites

What You’ll Need

For the Meatballs

  • Ground meat of your choice
  • Oat milk (or regular milk)
  • Quick oats (or breadcrumbs)
  • Seasonings of choice
  • Additional meatball ingredients from your favorite recipe

For the Pasta

  • Homemade or prepared meatballs
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 jar pasta sauce
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

A Gluten-Free Meatball Trick

One of my favorite swaps in this recipe is using quick oats instead of bread crumbs.

Not only does it work beautifully, but it also adds a little extra nutrition to the meatballs.

If you’re out of gluten-free breadcrumbs, don’t panic. Quick oats are a fantastic substitute and help keep the meatballs tender and flavorful.

Step 1: Mix the Meatballs

Add all of your meatball ingredients to your Deluxe Stand Mixer.

Using the mixing function makes quick work of combining everything evenly without overworking the meat.

Julie’s Tip

The Medium Scoop isn’t just for cookies! It creates perfectly portioned meatballs every time.

Once scooped, gently roll them between your hands to create a uniform shape.

Meal Prep Options

One thing I love about homemade meatballs is how freezer-friendly they are.

You can:

  • Freeze them raw for later
  • Cook and freeze them
  • Use them immediately
  • Make a double batch for future meals

Having a stash of homemade meatballs in the freezer is a great way to simplify busy weeknights.

Step 2: Brown the Meatballs

Turn your Deluxe Multi-Cooker to the Sear setting on High.

Brown the meatballs in batches, making sure they’re in a single layer.

Don’t worry about cooking them all the way through. You’re simply creating some browning and flavor on the outside.

Once browned, remove them and continue until all of the meatballs are finished.

Step 3: Layer the Ingredients

This part is important!

The layering helps everything cook evenly and prevents the pasta from sticking.

Layer 1

Place all of the browned meatballs into the Deluxe Multi-Cooker.

Layer 2

Pour 3 cups of beef broth directly over the meatballs.

Layer 3

Break the spaghetti in half and spread it out in a fan pattern over the broth.

Julie’s Tip

I like to break spaghetti inside a kitchen towel. It keeps pasta pieces from flying all over the kitchen!

Layer 4

Pour the pasta sauce over the top of the pasta.

I love using Rao’s sauce because it has great flavor and no added sugar.

Before tossing the jar, add a little water, shake it up, and pour every last bit into the pot. That sauce is too good to waste!

Step 4: Pressure Cook

Secure the lid and make sure the silicone gasket is fully seated.

Select:

  • Custom Setting
  • 8 Minutes

Press and hold to start.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker will take a few minutes to build pressure before the cooking countdown begins.

Step 5: Quick Release

When the cooking cycle finishes, immediately release the pressure.

This is especially important for pasta recipes because it prevents the noodles from becoming overcooked.

Step 6: Stir and Serve

Remove the lid and gently stir everything together.

The sauce will continue to thicken as it sits.

If you’re using gluten-free pasta, don’t worry if it seems slightly stuck together at first. A gentle stir will loosen everything up beautifully.

Perfect for Sharing and Meal Prep

This recipe makes a generous amount of food, which makes it perfect for:

  • Family dinners
  • Sharing with friends
  • Meal trains
  • Leftovers for lunch
  • Freezer meals

I packed some into insulated serving bowls and some into leak-proof containers for later.

Julie’s Tip

The insulated bowls will keep your food hot for a couple of hours, making them perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or delivering meals to someone who could use a little extra kindness.
