A classic comfort food breakfast made simple with the Deluxe Cooking Blender
A classic comfort food breakfast made simple with the Deluxe Cooking Blender.
I didn’t grow up eating sausage biscuits and gravy, but somewhere along the way it became one of those meals that feels like a special treat. Whether you serve it for a weekend breakfast, brunch, or even breakfast-for-dinner, it’s hearty, comforting, and always a crowd-pleaser.
What I love most about this version is that the Deluxe Cooking Blender does all the work of making the gravy. No standing at the stove whisking. No worrying about lumps. No wondering if it’s going to scorch on the bottom of the pan.
Just smooth, creamy sausage gravy every time.
Let’s make it!
The recipe is found on page 31 of this booklet that comes with your Pampered Chef Deluxe Cooking Blender
What You’ll Need
For the Sausage
- 1 roll breakfast sausage (or more if you’d like extra for meal prep)
For the Gravy
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Flour (regular or gluten-free)
- Butter
- Cooked sausage
For Serving
- Fresh baked biscuits
A Budget-Friendly Meal Prep Tip
If you’ve followed me for very long, you know I love those orange clearance stickers at the grocery store!
When I find discounted sausage that’s still well within its use-by date, I’ll often buy extra and cook a double batch.
Same goes into today’s meal, and the rest gets portioned and frozen for another day.
Future me is always grateful!
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Brown the sausage.
Add your sausage to a skillet over medium heat.
I like using my 4½-quart stainless steel skillet for this.
Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks with the Mix ‘N Chop.
Julie’s Tip
When cooking with stainless steel cookware, you usually need less heat than you think. Medium to medium-low heat is perfect for most everyday cooking.
2. Start the gravy in the blender.
While the sausage cooks, prepare the gravy.
Add to the Deluxe Cooking Blender:
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Secure the lid.
Turn the dial to:
Sauce
Press Start.
At this stage, the blender slowly heats and stirs the milk for you.
No whisking required!
3. Add the flour and butter.
When the blender displays ADD, carefully remove the lid.
Add:
- Flour
- Butter
Replace the lid and press the button to continue.
Everything inside is hot, so be careful when opening the blender.
The blender will continue cooking and thickening the gravy automatically.
4. Add the sausage.
When the blender displays END, add a portion of the cooked sausage directly to the blender.
Pulse a few times until combined.
This gives the gravy wonderful flavor while still leaving some sausage crumbles to serve on top.
5. Split the biscuits.
Because flaky biscuits pull apart so beautifully, I usually just split them by hand.
Place the biscuit halves onto plates or serving bowls.
6. Assemble and serve.
Top each biscuit with:
- Extra cooked sausage
- Warm sausage gravy
Serve immediately while everything is hot and fresh.
Why I Love This Method

✓ Smooth, creamy results every time
✓ Great use for discounted sausage
✓ Easy to double and meal prep
✓ Family-friendly comfort food
✓ Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner
✓ Gluten-free flour works beautifully
