Why the Pampered Chef Deluxe Multi-Cooker (Pressure Cooker) Is One of My Favorite Kitchen Tools

Why the Pampered Chef Deluxe Multi-Cooker (Pressure Cooker) Is One of My Favorite Kitchen Tools

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that I use my Deluxe Multi-Cooker a lot. That’s the Pampered Chef version of the popular electric Pressure Cooker.

And there’s a good reason for that.

As much as I enjoy cooking, I don’t want to spend all day standing in the kitchen. Like many of you, I have plenty of things competing for my time—family, work, volunteering, gardening, walking Teddy, and everything else life throws our way.

That’s why I appreciate kitchen tools that help me make homemade meals without making me work harder.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker does exactly that. And, in case you’re not familiar….this isn’t your grandma’s pressure cooker that you were warned to keep your distance from! LOL.!

It’s Like Having Multiple Appliances in One

One of the things I love most about the Deluxe Multi-Cooker is how many jobs it can do.

It can:

  • Pressure cook on multiple settings
  • Sear and sauté
  • Steam
  • Sous Vide
  • Make yogurt
  • Cook rice and grains
  • Keep food warm

Instead of pulling out several different appliances, I can often do everything in one pot.

That means less clutter on my counter and fewer dishes to wash afterward.

And I don’t know about you, but fewer dishes is always a win in my book! Or at least in my hubby’s since he does most of our dishes since I do the cooking.  That’s only fair, right?

It Saves Time on Busy Days

Some days I have plenty of time to cook.

Other days, dinner sneaks up on me.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker has rescued dinner more times than I can count.

Forgot to thaw the chicken? No problem.

Didn’t start the soup early enough? We’ve all been there.

Need a quick meal after a busy day? The pressure-cooking function can turn ingredients that normally take hours into a delicious meal in a fraction of the time.

It helps me get a homemade meal on the table even when life gets busy.

It’s Great for Meal Prep

If you’ve followed my meal-planning tips, you know I’m a big believer in preparing ahead whenever possible.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker makes that easy.

I regularly use it to cook:

  • Black beans
  • Chicken for meal prep for us and for my dog Teddy, too!
  • Soups
  • Chili
  • Shredded pork
  • Rice
  • Hard-Boiled eggs

Cooking larger batches means I can stock my freezer and make future meals much easier.

One of my favorite examples is cooking a pound of dried black beans. In a short amount of time, I can create the equivalent of several cans of beans and have them portioned for future meals.

That’s a simple way to save money and reduce trips to the grocery store.

It Helps Stretch the Grocery Budget

You know I love finding ways to make groceries go further.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker helps me do exactly that.

Less expensive cuts of meat become tender and flavorful.

Dried beans become easy to prepare.

Homemade soups, stews, and one-pot meals often cost far less than takeout or convenience foods.

When I’m looking for ways to feed my family well without overspending, the Multi-Cooker is one of the tools I reach for most often.

It’s Perfect Year-Round

One thing that surprises people is how often I use my Multi-Cooker during the summer.

When it’s hot outside, I don’t always want to heat up the kitchen with the oven.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker lets me prepare meals while keeping the kitchen cooler.

In the colder months, it’s perfect for soups, stews, and comfort foods.

It’s truly one of those appliances that earns its place on the counter all year long.

Take a Look at these Accessories

The Ceramic Pot is a must if you like making your main dish and side at the same time.   I usually use it for cooking things like the potatoes to go with a pot roast, grits for traditional Shrimp & Grits, rice for the Teriyaki Chicken.   It’s also amazing for a warm chocolate pudding! So good!

The Silicone Egg Bites Mold makes velvety Sous Vide Eggs Bites at a fraction of the cost as buying them at a coffee shop.

The Learning Curve Is Easier Than You Think

Sometimes people tell me they’re intimidated by pressure cooking.

I understand that.

The first time I used a pressure cooker, I had questions too.

The good news is that today’s electric pressure cookers are designed with convenience and safety in mind. After a few recipes, most people quickly gain confidence and start wondering why they waited so long to try one.

Start with something simple like shredded chicken, rice, or soup, and you’ll be surprised how easy it is.

My Final Thoughts

Over the years I’ve used a lot of kitchen tools, and very few become part of my regular routine.

The Deluxe Multi-Cooker is one that has.

Best of all: when you shop with me you get me!  I’m the one you can email, text or call and you’ll get a real response from me to help you make your family’s dinner. That’s a level of service you can count on when we do business together.

It helps me save time, stretch my grocery budget, simplify meal prep, and get homemade meals on the table even on busy days.

For me, that’s exactly what a great kitchen tool should do.

It’s not about making cooking complicated. It’s about making cooking easier.

And when a tool helps me feed the people I care about while saving time and money, that’s a tool I’m happy to recommend.

I’d love to know: What’s the first thing you’d make in a Deluxe Multi-Cooker? Soup, chili, shredded chicken, beans, or something else?
